AP contemporary is honored to partake once again in Art Stage Singapore 2015. In the third year to participate in this flagship cultural event in Southeast Asia, we proudly present our talented artists Sonya Fu, Hong Wai, Alexander Zakharov, Wang Xinggang and Mari Kim. Sonya Fu’s digital paintings is spiritual and dreamy. This will be her first time to show her diasec works in Singapore. Hong Wai, a Chinese ink painter, portrays mysterious feminine images by ink in a modern way. The Russian master of miniature, Alexander Zakharov, translates his childhood imagination on to diasec and 3D lenticular works, combining playful imagery with nature. Wang Xinggang’s sculptures reflect the fast moving contemporary Chinese society. The famous Korean artist Mari Kim, whose paintings depict doll-like young women from popular characters with bright colours and signature big eyes, will also be presented in the exhibition.The Fair will run from 22 to 25 January, 2015 (VIP Preview and Vernissage on 21 January, 2015) at the Marina Bay Sands, Sands Expo & Convention Centre. Join Malay Heritage Centre this weekend for a fun-filled celebration and learn more about Malay culture as well as Hari Raya customs and practices. Held in conjunction with the festive month of Hari Raya Puasa, participants at the event can enjoy cultural performances and participate in fun craft activities such as ketupat weaving, make traditional Hari Raya treats out of Play-Doh, and try their hand at community batik painting. Other than fostering greater understanding of Malay arts and culture, the event aims to promote community bonding and appreciation of the Hari Raya festive spirit in multicultural Singapore among visitors from all walks of life. SSS-NParks Public Talk 2013 Series presents "Quest - Where Heaven and Man Meet" by Sun Yu-li Sat, 20 April, 2pm - 3.30pm A collaborative effort by SSS and Nparks, "Quest - Where Heaven and Man meet" is the 1st public talk at Galeri Nila, The Foothills Fort Canning Park on Sat, 20 April, 2pm â€“3.30pm. Sun Yu-li, one of Singapore's leading artists, will take you through his life long journey and discovery of the Universal Language (UL). As he describes it "UL is a formal Language of the metaphysical of this new millennium and beyond". Sun Yu-li believes that UL provides a common platform where existential and representational issues of life meet and converge . The visual language is a meeting ground for the artistic and scientific mind. Through his text and visual examples Sun Yu-li will take us through his quest where heaven and man meet.
